Joe Sacco Officially Gave A Time Table For Hampus Lindholm To Return To The Boston Bruins Lineup
Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco has officially given a time table for when the Bruins can expect Hampus Lindholm to return to the lineup.
Hampus Lindholm has been out of the Boston Bruins lineup since November 12th with a fractured knee. Today head coach Joe Sacco revealed when Bruins fans can expect him back in the lineup.
Recently, Hampus Lindholm has returned to the Boston Bruins practices without a no contact jersey which has been a good sign in his progression toward making it back into the lineup.
Today, once again Lindholm was skating, and following practice Joe Sacco revealed when he could be back in the Bruins lineup.
Interim head coach Joe Sacco revealed that Hampus Lindholm isn't likely to return to the Bruins lineup until after the Four Nations Faceoff tournament. They are trying to be cautious with him as they don't want to deal with any setbacks.
Coach Sacco on Hampus Lindholm: "It's unlikely that we're going to see Hampus before the break. We're erring on the side of caution right now as far as that goes. That's the plan right now...no setback, that's where we're at in his progress."
Hampus Lindholm has only played in 17 games for the Boston Bruins this year. In those 17 games, at the time Lindholm was the best Boston Bruin in the lineup consistently playing good while the whole team was struggling.
This season he has just three goals, and four assists for 7 points while being a minus-4.
Getting Lindholm back in the lineup will be a huge boost for the Boston Bruins on the blue line as they continue their push for a playoff spot.
