Don Sweeney Brings Back Former Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins have officially appointed Milan Jurcina, a former Bruins defenseman from the mid-2000s, as their European Scout.
This move likely marks the end of Jurcina's professional playing career, even though he remained active until last season, participating in 12 games for HC Sparta Praha in the Czech Extraliga.
Jurcina, now 40 years old, had his last NHL stint with the New York Islanders during the 2011-12 season.
In his new role as European Scout, he is expected to play a significant role in scouting talent from the Czech and Slovak regions. This move aligns with the Bruins' successful history of nurturing talent from this area in recent years.
