Former Boston Bruin Inducted Into The Hockey Hall Of Fame
The Flyers have some great news for their fans. They're going to put former player Mark Recchi into their Hall of Fame on January 27, 2024, in a ceremony before they play against the Boston Bruins.
Recchi did really well during his time with the Flyers. He got 123 points in one season and is sixth in the team's history for assists with 395. Flyers' President of Hockey Ops, Keith Jones, who used to play with Recchi, said,
"He really deserves this honor."
The Flyers' boss said,
"[Recchi] was part of so many big moments during his 10 seasons with the Flyers."
Recchi was surprised and thankful for the honor. He said,
"I didn't expect this. My time in Philadelphia meant a lot to me."
The last Flyers in the Hall of Fame were Paul Holmgren and Rick Tocchet in 2021.
