Former Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy's true colours exposed and it's ugly
Former Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy's true colours were just exposed by a former Vegas Golden Knights forward during a recent podcast and it's not a good look.
Andy Strickland, a reporter for the St. Louis Blues posted a clip of Johnathan Marchessault on a podcast talking about current Vegas Golden Knights head coach, and it's no surprise that Bruins players forced him out of a job in Boston.
On the podcast, Marchessault stated that not a lot of players in the Golden Knights dressing room liked Cassidy as a head coach, and even Cassidy himself stated that he didn't care if the players liked him or not.
Cassidy believed that the players would use the anger players have towards him as fuel and motivation to bring the team closer together, and in the end it worked out for them. During Cassidy's first year behind the Vegas Golden Knights bench, the team would go on to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Marchessault stated that he would get into screaming matches with Bruce Cassidy on a daily basis as well.
Marchessault didn't only bash him though, as he stated that he may not think it's the right way to coach, but he has the right intentions and in the end the team did win a Stanley Cup with him during his first year behind the bench.
Hearing this it does not come as a surprise to see that some of the players in the Boston Bruins locker room wanted him fired as a head coach.
