David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has now confirmed Milan Lucic's fate with the Boston Bruins.

In the off-season last year the Boston Bruins and Milan Lucic agreed on a one-year $1 million deal, and many fans were excited to bring Lucic back to Boston.

His time with the Bruins was cut short though as he got into some trouble with the police and the Bruins would end up placing him on an indefinite leave.

Later reports suggested that Lucic was abusing his wife and Lucic found himself having to go to court. After all was said and done, the Bruins made an announcement that Milan Lucic will not be coming back to the team for the remainder of the year.

David Pagnotta has just reported that the Bruins will not be bringing Milan Lucic back.

With Milan Lucic also not returning next season, Sweeney will have some depth holes to fill, beyond another scoring forward he hopes to acquire in some fashion this summer.

A lot of fans were excited for Lucic's return to Boston, but ultimately Lucic only ended up playing 4 games with the Bruins and had 2 assists. It's safe to assume that Milan Lucic's NHL days might be coming to an end after what happened with him this year.
