Jakub Lauko Releases A Statement After Getting A Skate To The Face
Jakub Lauko, the Boston Bruins' forward, has made a thoughtful decision regarding his equipment after a recent close call.
Lauko spoke out about his return to practice following a harrowing incident in which he was struck in the face by a skate blade, narrowly avoiding a severe eye injury.
He expressed his gratitude for being able to continue playing and revealed his intention to wear a neck guard moving forward. Lauko stated,
"I'm just grateful that I can be here now because it was very close to the eye... after this experience, it's too much of a risk... I'll wear the neck guard, I think, for the rest of my career."
This decision reflects a commitment to safety and underscores the importance of protecting players on the ice.
