Jim Montgomery gets brutally honest about Pat Maroon
Pat Maroon played his first game for the Boston Bruins on Saturday, a month after being traded from the Minnesota Wild.
It was a good night for the Bruins as they beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-4. The Penguins are fighting hard for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but the Bruins managed to hold them off.
During the game, Maroon got to show what he could do. He played for about 13 minutes and made some big hits.
He even took a shot at the Penguins' goal. After the game, Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said Maroon did a great job and fit in well with his teammates.
Coach Montgomery on Pat Maroon's #NHLBruins debut: "I thought he was really effective for us. Managed the game really well.
You can see why he's won a lot because of the way he manages the game. Changes at the right time, putting pucks to good areas."
Maroon's debut was a success, and Bruins fans are excited to see what else he can do on the ice as the season goes on.
