The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the worst teams in the league, and in 10 games this season they have allowed 40 goals, but the Boston Bruins offensive struggles continued even against a struggling Flyers team.

The Boston Bruins had a lot of offensive zone time but could not figure out how to put one past Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson. Ersson made 22 saves marking his first shutout of the season, and the Bruins would go on to lose 2-0.

The Bruins have been known to always have a lethal power play, but for some reason this season they just can't figure it out. They had four opportunities on the power play tonight which included a five-on-three for 1:37, but only had 2 shots on net.

Late in the second period Jim Montgomery made line changes trying to spark something from his offence, but nothing materialized out of it.

The Bruins lines after Montgomery's changes:

New lines:

Marchand-Lindholm-Pastrnak
Zacha-Coyle-Kastelic
Frederic-Poitras-Brazeau
Beecher-Geekie-Koepke

Through the first 16 minutes of the third period, the Boston Bruins only managed to get two shots on net, and a total of three in the whole 20 minutes of the third period.

Bruins finished with three shots on goal in the third period.

Joonas Korpisalo stood on his head, making some big saves early on in the game to keep it close.

The Bruins will not turn their attention to the Carolina Hurricanes when they play them on Thursday Night at the Lenovo Center.
