Taylor Hall and Pavel Zacha previously spent three-plus years together with the New Jersey Devils, and Hall has noticed what has helped his old friend have a career first year in Boston.
Old Teammates Back Together
Along with childhood best friend Jakub Zboril, and four other Czechia natives, Hall was probably the most excited about the trade that brought Zacha to Boston this summer.
Despite very little success during his seven seasons with the Devils, Zacha enjoyed career highs in his first with the Bruins, in goals (21) and assists (36).
ESPN's Greg Wyshynks recently talked to Hall, and apparently, he knows the reason why Zacha has flourished with his new team:
''I played with him in Jersey and I saw the potential that he had. Quite frankly, I saw him not really have a role there and not really have an identity as a player that was given to him.''
'I think once he got here, he was coached very well, he was given a lot of opportunity and he made the best of it. He's a great guy and he works hard. To see his growth from Jersey until now, it's been awesome for our team.''
