Boston Bruins Rival Adds Former Stanley Cup Champion
Amid mid-week trade activities, the Florida Panthers have acquired Vladimir Tarasenko from the Ottawa Senators. Ottawa retains 50% of his salary.
Tarasenko's move is facilitated by his desire to be closer to family and friendship with Sergei Bobrovsky.
This marks his second trade in as many seasons. For the Panthers, Tarasenko adds firepower as they pursue a championship. This positions them ahead of the Bruins in the Atlantic Division standings.
Tarasenko's notable playoff performance in 2018-19 is remembered by Boston fans. His impressive stats this season further solidify his value.
