It was just reported by an NHL insider that Milan Lucic is attempting to return to the NHL through signing a PTO with the New Jersey Devils.
Milan Lucic returned to the Boston Bruins last season for a second stint with the team he has played the majority of his career with, but it didn't last long as the Boston Bruins placed Milan Lucic on a leave of absence after just 4 games with the Bruins.
This was due to Milan Lucic being arrested after facing some serious charges against his wife, although the charges would be dropped because his wife did not want to testify against him.
Radio colour commentator for the Edmonton Oilers revealed that Milan Lucic will be signing a professional tryout contract with the New Jersey Devils soon, and will try to keep his NHL dream alive.
As of right now Milan Lucic is not allowed to return to the NHL because he entered into the NHLPA Players Assistance Program after the incident last year, and would have to get approval from Gary Bettman to return back to the NHL.
