Former Boston Bruin Receives a massive fine
Philadelphia Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway, a former Boston Bruins player, faces a financial penalty for his knee-on-knee hit in last night's game.
The NHL has fined him $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Hathaway's hit targeted Columbus Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski, who has been announced as out for 1-2 weeks due to the injury.
This incident underscores the league's commitment to player safety and serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to the rules to prevent injuries on the ice.
