Former Bruins Fan Favourite Releases a Statement On Brad Marchand
Tyler Bertuzzi, who once donned the Boston Bruins jersey and now plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs, recently opened up about his former teammate, Brad Marchand, who currently serves as the captain of the Bruins.
During an interview, Bertuzzi was asked what he had learned about Marchand while sharing the locker room with him.
Bertuzzi's response was simple but revealing, as he stated,
"That he's a good guy."
When pressed further about what makes Marchand a good guy, Bertuzzi elaborated,
"He's just easy to get along with, you know. He's funny, and he's just a lot of fun to be around."
The conversation took an interesting turn when the reporter asked if Bertuzzi believed he now had inside information about Marchand that might make it easier to deal with him if Marchand tried to get under his skin during games.
With a chuckle, Bertuzzi replied,
"Yeah, he's just full of it now, but he's probably gonna try to do something tonight."
It seems that even in different jerseys, the camaraderie and friendly banter between former teammates can still shine through in the NHL.
