In a disappointing turn of events for the Florida Panthers, head coach Paul Maurice revealed that Aaron Ekblad will require shoulder surgery and won't be prepared for the commencement of the upcoming training camp.

Ekblad's commitment to the game was evident as he valiantly played through numerous injuries during the previous season.

Despite battling a broken foot, enduring two shoulder dislocations, and tearing his oblique, Ekblad continued to lace up his skates and give his all on the ice.

Ekblad disclosed that he is not the only player who might not be fully recovered when the next season begins.

The extent of his injuries became known when head coach Paul Maurice disclosed that the foot fracture occurred during the intense first-round playoff series against the formidable Boston Bruins.

Although the Panthers admirably fought their way to the Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights, it was evident that their injuries had taken a toll on their performance.

Ultimately, they succumbed to the Knights in five games. The Panthers and their fans can only hope for a swift recovery for Ekblad and other injured players, ensuring a stronger and healthier team for the challenges that lie ahead.
