Charlie McAvoy was admitted to Mass. General Hospital Monday night as Team USA was battling Team Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off at TD Garden, two sources familiar with the situation confirmed.

McAvoy's upper-body injury could be something serious, in the past he has had some serious shoulder injuries, and even had shoulder surgery in 2022, and it's unclear if this injury is related or not.

Team USA, and Team Canada are set to faceoff once again for the finals of the Four Nations on Thursday, and it's unclear if McAvoy or any of the other injured Team USA players will be able to play or not.
