It doesn't happen often but the Chicago Blackhawks were forced to dress an Emergency Backup Goaltender (EBUG) tonight against the Florida Panthers.
As per the Blackhawks PR:
MEDICAL UPDATE: Goaltender Alex Stalock will not play tonight due to a non-COVID related illness.
We have signed Zach Andrews to an ATO today to serve in an emergency backup role.
Andrews, 31, played four seasons, from 2012 to 2016 at UMass-Boston. In 62 career games, he collected a 45-12-4 record, a .906 SV% and a 2.66 GAA.
