Brad Marchad has always been a player who has walked the fine line between being dirty and being physical.
In another era, Marchand would be looked upon as a hero, but in today's game some of his plays are frowned upon.
He had another one of these cringe worthy moments versus the New York Islanders tonight.
With the Bruins up 1-0 early in the third period, Marchand took a five-minute major for interference on John Tavares as he skated all the way across the ice and targeted Tavares' head after he gave up the puck.
Fortunately, the Bruins were able to kill off the penalty and Jake DeBrusk was able to double the lead with a goal shortly after Marchand was released from the penalty box.
Considering Marchand has been suspended five times and fined three another times for various rule infractions in his career like clipping, elbowing and a slew foot it is hard to imagine he escapes this without missing some time.
How many games do you think this play will cost Brad Marchand?
