The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney have gotten their offseason underway.
Before taking care of some of his in house contracts to deal with, Sweeney has looked overseas to bring in some talent.
Having found success with Swedish players before, the Bruins have signed 26 year old winger Jesper Froden.
"The Bruins are very pleased to be adding Jesper to our organization," said Sweeney. "We have tracked Jesper's growth in the SHL where he has proven to be highly productive, competitive, and a smart, two-way player. Jesper is very excited to join a competitive team with the opportunity to compete for a roster spot."
Froden led his team in scoring last year with 22 goals and 40 points and was third in the league in scoring.
