The Boston Bruins and general manager Don�Sweeney has locked up one of his defenseman on Monday.�
Sweeney needs to sign Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo but has decided to handle a smaller contract first.�
According to Frank Seravalli of TSN, the Bruins have signed Connor Clifton to a three year contract worth $3million in total.�
Clifton proved a valuable depth defenseman during the Bruins playoff push as they dealt with injuries.�
