The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney announced a roster move on Sunday.
The team has signed veteran forward lee Stempniak to a one year contract for the remainder of the season worth an AAV of $650k.
Stempniak will be placed on waivers for purpose of assignment.
Stempniak has been sticking around and practicing with the Bruins over the last couple of month trying to earn a contract.
While this is good news for Stempniak it might be bad news for Bruins' fans in the sense that this might be an indication that Sweeney won't make any more deadline moves.
More to come.
