Begeron was supposed to be 100% by early August from his offseason groin procedure, but he's off that timeline.
Now it looks like a couple of other Bruins are still healing up from offseason surgeries and procedures.
Bruins head coachBruce Cassidy confirmed through Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston that along with Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Noel Acciari, Torey Krug and Anders Bjork also won't be making the trip to China.
None of those mentioned above are ready to get any NHL game action.
This could also be a small indication of why Krug hasn't been traded yet as per much speculation.
