Last week Tyler Seguin expressed his disappointment with the Dallas Stars management that he doesn't have any sort of extension so far.
Many believe Seguin will go the John Tavares route and hit free agency next summer and end up on a team of his choice.
Could that team be Boston?
Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston says, never say never.
Haggerty points out that it's a totally realistic possibility considering Seguin is still close friends with guys like Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. He also notes that current general manager Don Sweeney has never revealed his thoughts on the Seguin trade and where he stood as assistant GM when Peter Chiarelli made the move.
The only road block to landing Seguin would probably be if president Cam Neely would be willing to make a monster long term commitment to Seguin.
Nobody would have ever thought the B's would have interest in Tavares, but they did. If the Bruins can't score again in the playoffs, Seguin might be the much needed solution.
