The Boston Bruins became the first team in the NHL to officially clinch a berth in the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs with a win over the Red Wings on Saturday afternoon.
Because they already solidified their spot, the Bruins announced that postseason tickets are now available for fans to buy.
However, it turns out that fans aren't particularly happy about the steep prices, and rightfully so. As per Ty Anderson of 98.5 The Sports Hub shared the prices fans may have to pay:
''A quick look at the current prices for tickets available for Game 1 of the first round for the Bruins. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this for the *first round*.''
Anderson also noted that the prices aren't issued by the team:
''Keep in mind that these are not team-issued prices, but rather secondary market (verified reseller'). Bruins at capacity for STHs, from my understanding. STHs typically have window to opt in or out for playoffs, so until they make decision, inventory is extremely thin.''
