Hall of Fame defenseman Ray Bourque started a great tradition in Boston during his long playing career by hand delivering holiday gifts to children at area hospitals during the month of September.
Even though Bourque's playing days in Boston ended over 17 years ago, the tradition live on.
The Bruins took advantage of their off day on Thursday by heading to a local Walmart to buy all the toys they will be delivering this holiday season.
Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Backes, Torey Krug, David Pastrnak, David Krejci, Zdeno Chara, Charlie McAvoy, Anders Bjork and Jake DeBrusk all took to the isles to load up their shopping carts with some holiday cheer.
Here is your Friday afternoon smile!
