Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has had some bad injury luck this season.
His latest was of course the knee injury he suffered which has caused him to miss the last 15 games and had him labeled as likely out the rest of season and returning for the playoffs. This came just a little bit after McAvoy returned from a minor heart procedure.
The young Bruins defenseman has made great progress in his recovery and actually might get in some game time action before the playoffs according to Bruins head coachBruce Cassidy.
Cassidy mentioned on Sunday that McAvoy could make a possible return for Tuesday's matchup against the Lightning.
With Brandon Carlo reportedly diagnosed with a broken left fibula, McAvoy's return would be huge for the B's. Depending on if Carlo needs surgery or not, the Bruins defenseman could be out anywhere from two weeks to four months.
Let's hope McAvoy isn't being rushed back too soon because of theCarlo injury.
