Former NHL Player gets sentenced to jail time
Gabriel Gagne, a former second-round draft pick of the Ottawa Senators and player for the Chicago Blackhawks' AHL affiliate, has been handed a six-month prison sentence following his conviction for a three-year period of harassment and threats towards an ex-girlfriend.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to charges of harassment and making death threats, while one assault charge was dropped.
Despite being cleared of sexual assault accusations, Gagne still faces trial for other allegations of that nature.
According to court records, Gagne relentlessly bombarded his ex-girlfriend with a barrage of calls and messages.
