INSIDER: NHL could reportedly force controversial safety equipment

It's safe to say, that the NHL has a terrible history of player safety, but as of late, you could argue it's gotten better.
But according to Jeff Marek, the league could potentially implement a new rule for mandatory equipment that may be controversial.
The NHL has grown from no helmets, to the latest rule of mandatory visors for all players of a certain age. But this may be too far for some players.
I don't see this to go over well in today's NHL!
