Ivan Provorov in hot water after he skipped warmups for controversial reason

Ivan Provorov of the Philadelphia Flyers is being criticized for his reasoning for missing warmups Tuesday night.
Prior to their matchup against the Anaheim Ducks, the Flyers team wore special edition LGBTQ sweaters, but the defenseman allegedly did not want to because of his religious beliefs.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli shared the story:
''There is word that #Flyers' Ivan Provorov did not participate in warmups tonight because he declined to wear the team-issued Pride Night jersey, celebrating the LGTBQ+ community.�'
John Tortorella was also in hot water for not scratching Provorov after his controversial decision. The head coach offered the following statement on the matter.
''He was being true to himself and his religion.''
