The Boston Bruins continue their Western road trip as Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers host them at Rogers Place tonight.
It appears as though that head coach Jim Montgomery will also continue using both goaltenders regularly, with Jeremy Swayman getting the start.
The Bruins bench boss had a hilarious way of making the announcement, however. As per Kevin Paul Dupont of The Boston Globe:
Swayman in net here vs. EDM.
''Yeah,'' cracked Jim Montgomery, ''we're not starting our goal scorer.
--referring to Ullmark's goal Sat in VAN.
Of course, he's referring to Linus Ullmark who scored against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night. Swayman will have a big test against McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the strong offense of the Oilers.
Swayman has been one of the best goaltenders in the NHL for the past two months. The 24-year-old has improved to a 14-4-4 record, with a 2.34 GAA and a .916 SV%.
