The Los Angeles Kings shocked the hockey world as it's being reported that franchise goaltender Jonathan Quick has been traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

However, the 37-year-old must have been as surprised as NHL fans because he is allegedly furious with Kings' management for the move.

Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff shared the details:

To say Jonathan Quick is unhappy with the trade, I'm told, is 'an understatement.''

The entire #LAKings team was a bit down after the game, a win, and you could understandably see it in Anze Kopitar's face after a 4-goal night.

Tough deal, Kings trading a franchise legend.

And rightfully so! Quick has every right to be unhappy but it's also odd he never worked a No Trade Clause into the 10-year, $58 million contract he signed back in 2012.

Quick was originally selected in the third round (72nd overall) by the Kings in 2005, and by 2009 was the team's starter.

During his 16 years in Los Angeles, the netminder collected a 370-275-82 record, a 2.46 GAA, .911 SV% and 57 shutouts. He also helped the Kings capture their first Stanley Cup in 2012 (Conn Smythe) and followed that up with another in 2014.

Now, he gets to go to the last place Blue Jackets!
