The Bruins left Calgary with a 4-3 overtime win over the Flames in a game they had no business of even keeping it close. And Boston has Linus Ullmark to thank for that.
Ullmark made franchise history again, this time by breaking the Bruins record with 54 saves in a single game (regular season). The Bruins were outshot 57-20 and according to
Ty Anderson of 98.5 The Sports Hub also shared that the minus-37 shot differential on Tuesday night was the largest in a single game in Bruins history.
Not only that, but the 54 saves were a career-high for Ullmark, as well. As per Boston Sports Info, the Swede also made a season-high 18 high-danger saves (six more than his previous season-high).
The 29-year-old now leads the league in wins (31), GAA (1.88), SV% (.938) and goals saved above expected (GSAx) at 36.2, according to moneypuck.com.
