The BostonBruins have dealt with their fair share of adversity this season.

Lots of injuries and a tough battle withCOVID which saw them play a gruelling and condensed schedule.

However when all was said and done, the B's got going at the right time and look ready for the playoffs.

While their defense might not be as strong as last year, they're still in a prime position to make a serious run at the Stanley Cup now that they've finally got the top six depth they've been looking for.

"I really like the additions they made at the deadline. Mike Reilly was playing really good hockey for the Senators. He became a steady defender and bolsters the depth of their D. Taylor Hall now gives them a legitimate second line, so shutting down and matching up with the Bergeron line is not as easy as it used to be. And you have a third line that can cause some problems. They're battle-tested. Have a great leader in Bergeron. Their PK is the best in the league. They've balanced out their team as good as anybody."

The Bruins ended the season on a 6-3-1 run and they'll be going up against the Washington Capitals who finished on a equally impressive 7-2-1 run.
