The Boston Bruins made one of the biggest splashes at the NHL trade deadline.

In the middle of the night before the deadline, the Bruins landed forward Taylor Hall from the Buffalo Sabres.

With Hall becoming UFA at the the end of season it was a bit of a low risk move as Hall hadn't really produced at all in Buffalo.

After coming over to Boston, Hall said playing in Buffalo were some of the darkest times as a hockey player and he was looking forward to finding his game with the Bruins.

He's done pretty well so far with 14 points in 16 games which includes 8 goals and it looks like he's earned himself a new contract.

Cam Neely spoke to the press on Wednesday and said he's ready to lock up Hall long term.

"Mainly, it solidified our offensive depth. Now teams aren't just looking at the Bergeron line. They have to look at the Krejci line too. We'll see how things go with the playoffs. We'd like to try & get something done w/Hall [contractually] but it remains to be seen"

Would you like to see the B's sign Hall to an extension?
