NHL History made after first female coach was just announced

NHL history was just made after the Seattle Kraken announced Jessica Campbell as a coach behind their bench.

It was just confirmed that the Seattle Kraken will be hiring Jessica Campbell, and she will become the first female assistant coach in NHL history.

The Kraken also announced that Bob Woods will be joining the coaching staff of Dan Bylsma as well.

"With the hiring, Campbell becomes the first full-time female assistant coach in NHL history to work behind the bench during the regular season," Kraken said in a news release.

"This is an important day for our organization,» said Kraken general manager Ron Francis. «We're bringing in valuable coaching experience to our staff and are confident that both Bob and Jessica will make an immediate impact for our team."

There were a lot of rumours that Campbell will be joining the coaching staff and it was just confirmed by the Seattle Kraken.

Previously she was the assistant coach for the Kraken's affiliate the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
