The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney have decided to keep pushing towards another Stanley Cup and that means making some significant moves this offseason.

The core group will stay in tact once again but some pieces will need to be added.

Among them is a left handed defenseman who can play top minutes and president Cam Neely was pretty clear about addressing that need during the team's year end presser.

The solution won't be easy to find however according to one NHL insider they'll revisit a target from last offseason.

Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was willing to accept a trade last year but gave the Coyotes only two destinations to work with, Vancouver and Boston.

According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, those trade discussions are set to begin once again and we could be looking at a blockbuster trade as the Bruins are looking to bring Boston native Conor Garland into the mix as well.

FromSeravalli:

"We know that Boston was one of Ekman-Larsson's two desired locations last offseason. Talks came down to the wire of a deadline set by the Ekman-Larsson camp for new GMBill Armstrongto pull the trigger, but fell short.

One way to better pique the interest of the Bruins? Include Garland in the conversation. It's clear that Garland ison his way out of the desert.

The scrappy Scituate, Mass., native has enjoyed success in a Bruins jersey before racking up 42 goals and 94 points in just 40 games in a season with the Boston Jr. Bruins playing alongsideJack Eichel. (He actually outscored Eichel that season.)"

Would you like to see OEL and Garland come over to the Bruins?
