The Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks are reportedly working on a blockbuster trade.

The NHL saw their first blockbuster trade take place last week when Mikko Rantanen was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in a three-team deal, which also saw former Boston Bruins player Taylor Hall get sent to the Carolina Hurricanes as well. Martin Necas and Jack Drury were the two players that went back to the Avalanche along with some picks.

After the trade, it was revealed that the Hurricanes were trying to trade for either J.T. Miller or Elias Pettersson, but nothing came out of it.

Since this trade, rumours involving Miller have ramped up, and the Boston Bruins have reportedly entered the mix now.

NESN's analyst Andrew Raycroft reported that the Boston Bruins main focus should to be trying to bring Miller into the Bruins organization.

«He's a super ultra-competitive veteran who's won many playoff games and playoff series and is just a gamer when the game's at its biggest,» Raycroft said.

«I mean, J.T., he'll get in your face if things aren't going well and that's something you would have to deal with,» Raycroft added. «This seems much more personal, this seems like it's been going on a really long time and has finally hit its head. If you have a strong locker room, it shouldn't be something that you're concerned about.

«There are locker rooms that could absorb a guy like that, and I would assume the Bruins culture and Brad Marchand, Charlie McAvoy and David Pastrnak would have that ability if that was the case.»

A lot of fans don't like the idea of bringing in Miller into the Bruins locker room after the reports of the feud that is taking place in Vancouver currently. On Tuesday GM Jim Rutherford admitted that there is a conflict in the dressing room between JT Miller, and Elias Pettersson.

There is no direct path the Bruins are set to take at the March 7th trade deadline. Cam Neely opened up and stated the Bruins have "two paths" they are preparing for. One where they are set to be sellers, and start their re-tool, or they could be buyers.

Even though fans might be opposed to bringing in J.T. Miller, Frank Seravalli of The Daily Faceoff has them listed as a 'dark horse' to land Miller.

«I do believe that the Boston Bruins have kept very close tabs on the Miller situation with the Vancouver Canucks. I would term them as a team lurking in the weeds right now to try and monitor those prices. And wouldn't be surprised if this continues to linger on closer to the March 7 deadline. They're a team that could remain in the mix.»

This is definitely something to keep an eye on.
