After putting together some of their best games against the Ottawa Senators, and Colorado Avalanche, the Boston Bruins have looked horrible once again.
The Bruins last two games they have been embarrassed by the Buffalo Sabres, and now the Winnipeg Jets, and have been outscored in two games by a score of 13-4.
This season has just been filled with ups and downs, and the whole team has been super inconsistent all season long.
Boston Bruins fans are finally having enough, and for the second time this year during their game fans have broke out a chant to fire Don Sweeney.
Don Sweeney has been playing the "safe" card all year long, and hasn't been willing for some of the Bruins youth in the organization to get a shot in the NHL. Instead the Bruins keep dressing players that should not be in the lineup.
The Bruins are missing youth and speed in the organization but are unwilling to give fan favourites like Fabian Lysell or Georgii Merkulov a chance. When they have been giving them chances they have been stuffed into roles that will not benefit, or develop them.
Both Fabian Lysell and Georgii Merkulov have been lighting it up in the American Hockey League for the Providence Bruins.
This season in 34 games Fabian Lysell has eight goals, 17 assists for 25 points while being a plus-28
Georgii Merkulov on the other hand has been dominating the American Hockey League. In 38 games he has been maintaing a point per-game pace with 11 goals, 27 assist for 38 points.
It's become clear that Don Sweeney's time with the Boston Bruins organization should come to an end, and the Bruins need to do something about it.
