The Boston Bruins top six.

It's been a question going on for a couple of years now as the Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pasrtnak line has been continuously carrying the team while David Krejci has constantly been left on an island alone on the second line.

But what if the Bruins decided to give their top six a huge boost?

According to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, that's exactly what the team could do.

Shinzawa says he can picture the Bruins targeting disgruntled BuffaloSabres' forward Jack Eichel.

The Sabres forward doesn't have trade protection until 2022-23 and the Bruins could fit his salary cap hit moving forward if they let both Krejci and goalie Tuukka Rask walk this summer.

The only problem is of course that the Bruins will likely have to give up Charlie McAvoy and Trent Frederic in any possible trade.

What makes it worse is that it could become a bidding war so the Bruins would have to add even more to that package as they fight teams with deeper prospect pools.

Would you make this type of trade to bring in Eichel?
