The Arizona Coyotes have held Jakob Chychrun out of the lineup for the past four games due to 'trade related reasons'' as they try to move the well sought after defenseman.

It's reported that the Boston Bruins have called the Coyotes regarding Chychrun's availability, but the asking price is allegedly way too high for Don Sweeney's liking.

According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, Sweeney rightfully declined Arizona's absurdly high offer. As per Murphy:

''According to that same source, NHL trade chatter amongst pro scouts and management had the Coyotes asking for either Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk or goalie Jeremy Swayman, a 2023 first round pick, 2024 third round pick, and one of their top prospects in forward Fabian Lysell (Providence Bruins), or defenseman Mason Lohrei (Ohio State). The Bruins gave an emphatic no to DeBrusk and Swayman being involved in any trade not just for Chychrun but with any NHL team.'

The Bruins may feel extra pressure to add after the Maple Leafs pulled off their own blockbuster trade by adding Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Acciari from the Blues. However, Boston already has the most complete roster in the NHL as is, and Sweeney has no need to make a massive deal like this. Especially giving up core players like DeBrusk or Swayman.
