The Boston Bruins aren't looking to rebuild anytime soon as both general manager Don Sweeney and president Cam Neely have said the team is still looking to add pieces for another Stanley Cup run.

With David Krejci still a question mark for next season and only getting older along withPatrice Bergeron, there could be a significant hole down the middle for years to come.

Could that make the Bruins ready to seriously think about making a push for disgruntled Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel.

If they did, it would require a large amount of various pieces to get the job done unless they do something absolutely crazy.

According to Jimmy Murphy of BostonHockey Now, the Sabres could be interested in a deal with the Bruins if it meant a swap for David Pastrnak.

"Needless to say, there could be a giant void down the middle for the Boston Bruins in as early as 2022-23. Jack Studnicka is really the only center in the Bruins' prospect pool that has top 6 potential. So, do the Bruins want to have a potentially overpaid winger without a No. 1 center in 3-4 seasons or would they prefer a superstar center, a year younger than Pastrnak, making $10 million centering their top line? Preferably by then, Studnicka is the No. 2 pivot and they can sprinkle in cheaper talent on the wings.

That's why Pastrnak may be the only way the Bruins can acquire Eichel. Surely if they're willing to deal with their prized sniper then Adams will come down on his crazy demands and can still save face with Sabres fans."

Would you make a crazy deal like this?
