Reports indicate that the NHL may bid farewell to a significant sponsorship deal as the current season draws to a close.

BioSteel, a prominent Canadian sports drink brand co-founded by former NHL player Mike Cammalleri, allegedly faces substantial debts amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, casting doubt on its future involvement as an official partner of the NHL.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, indications suggest that the current season marks BioSteel's final stint as the NHL's

"Official Hydration Partner."
Although not officially confirmed, rumors suggest that BodyArmor will step in as the new partner starting from the 2024-25 season.

Sounds like this will be the last season with BioSteel as the «Official Hydration Partner» of the NHL & NHLPA. It's not yet confirmed, but word out there is BodyArmor will be taking over the partnership starting 2024-25.

BioSteel's presence extends beyond the NHL, encompassing sponsorship agreements with various hockey entities, including USA Hockey, the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association, and the NHLPA. Additionally, the brand boasts sponsorship ties with Edmonton Oilers' star captain, Connor McDavid.
