The Boston Bruins are off to a great start to the season and so far general manager Don Sweeney's plan has come together.

Sweeney wasn't very active during the offseason but made some inquiries regarding Pierre-Luc Dubois and has now turned his attention to the Montreal Canadiens.

The Canadiens have put defenseman Victor Mete on the trade block as he sits on the taxi squad.

Now it seems like his destination might be Boston as Bruins' insider Jimmy Murphy says the Canadiens could land Anders Bjork from the Bruins in an attempt to reunite him with former teammate Jake Evans.

Bjork is a 6'0, 190-pound forward who enjoyed success with Evans at Notre Dame University and is currently on the trade block too.

While Mete can't eat the minutes that Torey Krug, the young defenseman can push the puck and would definitely help out on the power play.

It'll be interesting to see if the two rivals can make a trade.

More details will follow.
