The Ottawa Senators are looking to make another deal soon, as they have made Jakob Chychrun available for trade.

They have set a high asking price for the 26-year-old defenseman with a 10-team NTC, and whose current cap is $4.6 Million.

The Senators are looking to acquire a 1st and 2nd round pick for the defenseman or a high-end NHL Prospect.

This reflects Jakob Chychrun's as a top-tier defenseman who will be a huge addition to any teams blueline according to the Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch.

Several teams in the NHL have emerged as suitors for the defenseman in the Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks are of note so far.

But with the Bruins being trade partners with the Senators already, could they be in on Chychrun too?

Staios and Senators management believe that the NHL Draft would be a perfect time to clear cap space, moving Chychrun and acquiring a right-shot defenseman for the Senators.

This is in order to re-balance the Senators defense, as Jake Sanderson and Thomas Chabot waiting in the wings.

GM Steve Staios is dedicated to enhancing the teams competitiveness and ending the Senators playoff drought.

Since both teams have made a deal for Linus Ullmark already, the Bruins could use Chychrun to strengthen the blueline in Boston, with the relationship built between GM Don Sweeney and Staios.

In the 2023-2024 season, Chychrun posted 41 points( 14 G, 27 A) in 82 games, with a plus/minus of -30, with 154 blocked shots.
