Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask made a big splash last week when he brought up possible retirement.

Rask dropped a bombshell when he mentioned he could hang up his skates after next season.

The B's goalie missed some time last season because of personal reasons.

During a recent appearance on WEEI, Rask was asked to go into a bit more detail on if he's actually going to retire or if he would sign an extension.

"I'm sure we're going to have good conversations with [Bruins general manager Don Sweeney] after this season and go from there," Rask said. "But I'm only 34 [when my contract expires after next season], so it's not too old. So I might play another year or two and then go from there.

"But I don't want to promise anything either way because you never know what's going to happen."

With the way things have changed in the world right now, Rask says he's not even thinking about the future and just focused on the now.

"I haven't made any decision in any direction yet. Obviously, we're not even playing hockey right now, so that'll be in the future. But it's definitely not in my mind right now. Just trying to take care of the family as of now and go back to hockey whenever that happens and then go from there."
