When you look at Boston's 37-5-4 record, it seems silly to go and makes big trades at the deadline.
However, no team has ever been as all in as the Bruins should be this season, and for several reasons. Most importantly, if this is the last year we get of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci.
One name that the Bruins have been most linked to is Bo Horvat of the Vancouver Canucks, who is set to become a UFA after this season.
According to Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK News in Vancouver, the Canucks are interested in Brandon Carlo in return if a trade does happen.
Reports are that Vancouver is looking for three players in return for their captain, with one of them being a top prospect. That would most likely mean Lysell, Carlo and another player for Horvat.
Don Sweeney should only make this deal if an extension with Horvat is agreed upon. A top-six centre for the future would all but solidify a contract with David Pastrnak as well.
