To fans and players delight, Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney made some moves around the deadline and the statement is clear, the Bruins are "going for it".
Landing one of the biggest deadline trade chips available on the market in Rick Nash, the team also added role players Tommy Wingels and Nick Holden.
While Nash has registered a goal in two games and also made an incredible goal line save to help the Bruins, Wingels has made quite the impression himself.
The high energy checking forward stood out on Tuesday's overtime win against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 29 year old registered a goal and assist in the game.
Bruins fans were served with some tough news when it was accounted that Patrice Bergeron will be out a minimum two weeks.
Luckily, their trade deadline acquisitions have already started to pay dividends and can hopefully inject some fresh energy with Bergeron out.
Do you think because of his style, Wingels could end up having a bigger impact that Nash before the playoffs?
