Zdeno Chara Shines In His 1400th Game

Zdeno Chara hit yet another milestone in his Hall of Fame career on Saturday night by lacing up his skates for the 1400th time in the NHL.�
Now that Jaromir Jagr has returned home to the Czech Republic, Patrick Marleau (1546), Joe Thornton (1493) and Matt Cullen (1416) are the only active players to have more games played than the Bruins captain. Chara is just the 39th player in league history to hit the 1,400-game mark.
Big Z had a huge night in helping the Bruins take down the Toronto Maple Leafs. Chara had an assist, six shot attempts, five hits and a pair of blocked shots in over 24 minutes of playing time.� He also spent most of his night out against Auston Matthews and, with the help of Patrice Bergeron, held him to a career low 22.2 CF%.
