Bruins General manager Don Sweeney made a trade during the draft which saw a former fan favorite in Vinni Lettieri head back to Boston in exchange for Jakub Lauko to the Minnesota Wild and allowed the Bruins to move up twelve positions in the fourth round.

«What an honor it was to play at home!» Lettieri wrote. «Thanks to my incredible teammates, organization and all the fans that supported me along the way! Back to Boston!!»

There's some uncertainty in terms of what role he will play with the organization as he only played one game in Beantown and played the bulk of his time with the organization in Providence.

The 29-year-old center played 46 games for the wild, scoring five goals with four assists for 9 points. While these numbers are not flashy, it's expected he will have a role on the bottom 6 as the Bruins seek center help as they have been weakened significantly over the past year.

He is in his final year of his deal and it's worth $775,000 per season. If his play continues to be helpful, it's likely don sweeney will retain him for the foreseeable future.

The Bruins will be busy this summer as unrestricted free agency will open on July 1st at 12:00 PM eastern. It's expected he and his management team will be looking throughout all the players available and to help bolster the lineup as they are looking for goal scoring help.
