Major announcement from the Boston Bruins regarding Jim Montgomery
The Boston Bruins made a major announcement involving head coach Jim Montgomery today.
Jim Montgomery was hired by the Boston Bruins during the off-season in 2022 after they decided to fire Bruce Cassidy.
Jim Montgomery during his first full season with the team set an NHL record for most wins when they went 65-12-5.
Although the Bruins had a historic year they would ultimately be knocked out of the playoffs during the first-round against the Florida Panthers in a series where it would go 7 games.
The Bruins blew a 3-1 lead against the Panthers, and during his second full year with the team the Bruins would make it to the second-round where they would be knocked out of the playoffs by the Florida Panthers again in 6 games, who would go on to win the Stanley Cup.
Today is Jim Montgomery's birthday and the Boston Bruins took to social media to make an announcement regarding this.
