Boston Bruins Make Drastic Change To Their Power Play Units Featuring Nikita Zadorov
With the recent news regarding defenseman Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm, the Boston Bruins have made some drastic changes to their power play units that are featuring Nikita Zadorov.
It was confirmed that both Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm will not play tonight as McAvoy was just injured once again at the 4 Nations, and Lindholm has yet to be cleared by the Bruins medical team.
Brad Marchand and Jeremy Swayman both expected to play on Saturday for the Bruins. Charlie McAvoy is obviously out and Hampus Lindholm isn't cleared to return yet either. Tough times for the Black and Gold The Bruins ended up receiving some more terrible news today as it was announced that Mason Lohrei is going to be a game time decision as he is currently dealing with illness as reported by Joe Sacco and multiple insiders.
Lohrei under the weather. Questionable for tonight.
Bruins Make Drastic Changes To Power Play Units
With the Bruins more then likely without Charlie McAvoy, Hampus Lindholm, and Mason Lohrei tonight, they have made some changes to their power play units.
It was reported at the Bruins morning skate that Jordan Oesterle is on the back end of the first power play unit, and Nikita Zadorov is on the back of the second PP unit.
The Bruins have been struggling as is on the power play this year, and having these two players on the back end would not be ideal.
Lohrei not skating this morning, not sure the issue. Right now Oesterle is running PP1. Zadorov running PP2
